If politicians are really serving the people they should try the minimum wage diet. It is amazingly efficient in reducing ignorance on poverty issues.
By putting more money in low-paid workers’ pockets, an increase to the minimum wage is beneficial for the local economy. When low wage workers get a raise, the additional pay is spent in the local community. It typically doesn’t get invested in the stock market, doesn’t get spent on a winter holiday in the tropics, and doesn’t get squirreled away into a retirement fund, or in some other way removed from circulation…
