Yesterday’s Daily Pickings referred to Adam Curtis’s “hit piece” on Syria and Russia – Hypernormality. In creating his fantasy narrative built on omissions and half-truths, he characterised Hafeez Al Assad as the bogeyman and his son Bashar as the reluctant ingenue turned bloody tyrant, totally ignoring the machinations of Israel et al to destabilise Syria and the Middle East.

In the same way that Muammar Gaddafi was falsely portrayed, so is Bashar al Assad. That is not to suggest that any government is without fault – all government is tyrannical and abusive but Gaddafi, Hafeez al Assad and his son have a much lower body count than the UK, US and NATO which are psychopathic killing machines. Listen to Bashar al Assad and judge for yourself what sort of man he is.

We are facing multiple threats today and anyone of them could provide the excuse for the imposition of martial law.

As you are probably well aware, the Obama administration would like nothing more than to place the United States under Martial Law.

Once that is accomplished, the country and people would be locked down and kept under control on the pretext of continuing with the government and/or maintaining the national security of the U.S.
